Story
The Foundation held the maiden edition of its Annual Teachers’ Award for Excellence on November 28, 2008 at Le Meridien Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The event was chaired by Dr. (Mrs) Myma Belo-Osagie, Managing Partner, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie, while the keynote address was delivered by Mr. Larry Ettah, Group Managing Director, UACN Plc.
In attendance at the occasion were the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio, the prelate emeritus Sunday Mbang and wife, the Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Mr. Osita Chidoka and the Superintendent of American International School, Lagos, Mr. Thomas Shearer. A total of 14 awards were presented to teachers at the occasion following a thorough screening process by a committee chaired by Professor W. Mbipom.
