Partnership brief
The Foundation in partnership with former Bank PHB now Keystone Bank, set up a comprehensive Information & Communications Technology (ICT) center in four secondary schools across the three (3) Senatorial Districts in Akwa Ibom State to encourage the learning of Information Technology. This Project among others things, provides for a fully equipped Internet ready computer lab with a projector, a 27kva standby generator, a British Curriculum and a privately employed Curriculum Coordinator to effectively coordinate studies across the four schools. The schools that benefited from this project are:
- Cornelia Connelly College, Uyo
- Independence High School, Ukana East, Essien Udim
- Methodist Boy’s High School, Oron
- Salvation Army Secondary School, Akai Ubium
The project was commissioned on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Cornelia Connelly College, Uyo by the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio represented by the Commissioner for Education Akwa Ibom State, Honourable Dr. Nseabasi Akpan. The commissioning ceremony also had in attendance, the Executive Director of Keystone Bank, Mrs. Sally Mbanefo, the Chairperson, Inoyo Toro Foundation, Mrs. Ntekpe Inoyo, other members of the Foundation’s Board of trustees and officials of Keystone Bank.
